Looking for something to do tonight? Lazy Jane's is having a craft bazaar! It is Sat Dec 3rd from 4 pm to 8 pm at Lazy Janes's cafe, 1358 Williamson Street Madison, WI. I will be set up on the first floor with originals and prints for sale, along with stickers and buttons. Come by and check us out.

Stuff from the last month or so. Have been working with a couple companies on smaller projects, those will come when they are published. There are a few shows going on in between stuff. Last weekend we were in Chicago with about 3000 other people, saw a lot of familiar faces and had a great time. This upcoming weekend there is a show locally. I will be making another post for that, along with some of the new art I will have finished up for display there.

Being kinda lazy with posting stuff, but there is always more...I have around 30 fields studies from the last post, I need to find a way to have those all in one location, for display. I know there is a few I am missing here, but enjoy! There is small acyclic ink pieces, watercolors, digital renderings of sorts....

A collection of field studies I did over the last week. Watercolors paintings in a tiny book. Also some environment paintings for world reference. I have been pretty busy over the last few weeks. The work I have been doing for ShardStudios is almost finished. The new book should be out in a couple of months! Then we will start working on the 3rd book. I was also picked up by an independent app company called Piledriver studio. Working on some fun game assets for there up coming app game. I have also started writing out my own brand of comics. Currently going for a Zap! comics feel, and the first issues will be for sale in November. All this stuff here is work for a much bigger personal project. Building a world, characters, and hopefully something epic!

Summer has also come to Wisconsin, and I have been enjoying the new season of protesting, and many fine Wisconsin Brews. Something we are fighting to keep in this fine state. There hasn't been much word in the news about this, but, Miller/Coolers are pushing a legislation to restricted the distribution and availability of smaller craft breweries!
As an artist I respect and Love the finer things in life, Like a great, locally brewed craft beer!

Been really busy with preparation for an up coming art show. Part of Gallery Night this year, art will be located on willy's street. Hosted by Lazy Jane's Cafe, up on the 2nd floor. I will have some old, and new originals on display, along with prints, buttons, and boxes. Tree painting, done on 9x12 paper, watercolor/acrylic inks. Simpler, relaxing painting, life is starting to show in these wastelands. Finally, spring. Last Tuesday Shpongle was in town, it was a very enjoyable, and inspiring event. After getting home that night, I sketched this out. Working on this almost non-stop. Scratching it out on clay board. Trying to layer UV reactive colors to the white lines, see how it turns out. Its pretty surreal drawing inverted. Last, I have changed directions with this blog. I post less then daily here, and have moved to tumblr for the daily sketch groups, for more motivation and community. I give you Carrion Luggage! The new "daily grind" Ill save this place for more bi-weekly, posts, with finished pieces/projects, updates on summer shows, and locations. Enjoy.

Painting Iv been working on for a few months during my downtime. Its a reoccurring setting from my dreams. The grass is wilder, and more overtaken of the place at times. Sometimes there is more water, sometimes less. The water is never clear, only muddy, or dark. I can see the shapes in the water. Ill be running away from something, though the maze of grass and trees, only on the broads, I never wanted to step off them. Sometimes they break under my feet and the dream is over. Other times I am sitting at the dock, feeding whats ever below crackers or bread. 9x12 in Mix media.

Remember Remember the 5th of November/Gunpowder treason and plot. We see no reason/Why Gunpowder treason/Should ever be forgot.
